I have been missing my friend so much lately! I woke up the other day sobbing because I was dreaming about her, nothing like the dream that Stephanie shared with us but only my subconscious memories of her while she was still her. (I'm still hoping I get a dream like Stephanie's :) )
My mind has been flooded with so many treasured times we spent together, that hopefully I will be able to share them all but, today the one story I would like to share was while Paige and I were in Lake Powell. It was the year we both returned home from our missions. We had looked forward to this trip and were so excited to head out for our first ski, since it had been 18 months since we had been water skiing! We finally were done with all the mundane chores of getting stuff settled with the houseboat. My cousins, Paige and I took the ski boat out to start the ski runs. Once we were out on the water we decided that the water wasn't smooth enough to ski on yet (Paige didn't care about smooth water but I did it definitely makes skiing easier) so my cousin Rex decided he would wakeboard first to by us some time until the smooth water came. He took one pass over the wake and fell. Instead, of coming up like normal he came up face down unconscious in the water. As I panicked trying to figure out what to do. Paige was already in the water swimming towards him. She reached him turned him face up and and swam back to the boat with my cousin in tow. She knew exactly what to do at all times. I miss my compass, my go to girl when I don't have the answers. She was always there for me, my light in the darkness.
Paige is on the right!
