Our Anniversary

As most of you know, today is Paige and I's 9th wedding anniversary.  I use the present tense because as I was reminded by my sister today, we are married and we are celebrating our anniversary this year and for many years to come.  I am blessed to have that knowledge.  To know for a certainty that Paige and I will be together forever.  As a youth growing up I used to sing that song in primary and I always thought it was nice but now I understand the true meaning of the phrase, family's can be together forever.  Nothing comforts me more than that thought.  Knowing that it is just a matter of time before we are reunited as a family, never to be separated again.

Today has been a difficult one even though as I sit here tonight I can look back and realize how blessed I truly am.  I am blessed to have a job and work with people that understand what I am going through so when I ask to take today off, it is granted without question.  I am bless to be able to spend the day with my wonderful daughter Esme.  To eat breakfast, go on a walk, play hide and go seek, and watch Toy Story 3, which she now refers to as "her show".  I am blessed to have a wonderful sister and brother-in-law that take me out to dinner to keep up with Paige and I's tradition of going out on our anniversary.  I am blessed to have wonderful nieces who are willing to baby sit at the drop of a hat.  I am blessed to have my family and Paige's family call me through out the day to let me know of their love and support for me.  I am blessed to have a best friend that lives two minutes away and who is willing to come over late and share a root beer and a toast.  But most of all I am bless to be called Paige's husband.  It is a badge of honor for me and something I hope to be able to live up to for the rest of my life.

For some reason when Paige and I got married we didn't have anyone video our reception or our time outside the temple.  Luckily my three best friends came up to the reception in Bozeman and did some filming.  This is the only footage I have of our wedding and I and extremely grateful to have it.

Thank you to everyone who has kept us in their prayers all these months and provided support for our little family.

I am blessed to have you all in my life and the life of my daughter.

It would be kind of fun to hear your favorite memory of Paige and I...if you are interested I would love to get them.  You can email them to me or post them on this blog....jcahoon33@yahoo.com
